INKMASTERS POULTON & DIST UNDER 10 PRIMARY 7-A-SIDE LEAGUE
A couple of last Saturdays scheduled fixtures were postponed due to waterlogged pitches but the majority of the league programme went ahead.
DIV 1A
Kirkham increased their lead at the top of Div 1A after taking all six points at home to Lytham Juniors. A Chris Bridges hat trick helped them to a 5-1 A game win, Harry Smith bagging the other two goals with Lytham’s consolation claimed by Christian Linton. The B game was a much closer affair before Kirkham eventually emerged 2-1 victors. John-Jo Morris and Sewan Byrne their marksmen, Will Carter on target for the visitors.
BJFF stay 2nd despite only sharing the points with Blackpool Rangers Dynamos. BJ edged the A game 2-1 with goals by Olly Purdon and Tyler Rainy, Jack Galloway on target for the Dynamos. In the B game though BJ were very much 2nd best as the Dynamos produced a dazzling team display which brought a superb 8-1 victory, Paul Hargreaves leading the way by bagging four of their goals. Strikes by Callum Sharratt, Matthew Cholmondeley, Edward Peill and an on goal completed the rout. Alex Gibbons was BJ’s lone marksman.
Result of the day though came from Clifton Rangers. They were bottom of the table for their visit to 3rd placed YMCA and with two excellent displays they took all 6 points home with a pair of 2-1 wins. Alfie Tomlinson’s double strike gave them victory in the A game with goals by Zaccaria Leo and Sydney Sullivan clinching victory in the B contest. YMCA’s marksmen were Alex Price and Matt Van Wyk and this excellent result by Rangers moved them up to near mid-table whilst YMCA drop down to 4th.
Thornton Cleveleys moved into 3rd spot by taking maximum points at home to Fleetwood Town. Thornton edged the A game 1-0, A Joe Wyers- Roebuck goal clinching victory. Thornton then came out comfortable 5-1 winners of the B contest helped by a hat trick by Louis Talaczyk. Ciaran Kimmance and Will Critchley with a neatly chipped goal were also on target.
Poulton Youth could only share the points at Foxhall but stay 5th in the table. Goal from Allan Wilson and Reece Deary proved just enough to give the home side a 2-1 victory, TJ Phillips the Poulton marksman. The B game was another close tussle with Poulton edging this one 3-2, Josef Casson hitting all three goals with Foxhall’s replies coming from Robert Flanaghan and Kane Felton.
DIV 1B
AFC Blackpool till top Div 1B despite only only taking a share of the points against neighbours Spirit Of Youth. AFC had a comfortable 4-0 A game victory with 2 goals from Ethan Hallett and one apiece by Lewis Crolla and Tom O’Neil. However, Spirit notched up a great 1-0 victory in a hard fought B game with Ben Khan grabbing the winning goal. St Annes FC were out of action but stay 2nd in the table.
FC Rangers remain 3rd despite having to settle for a share of the spoils at Fleetwood Gym. A Jordan Broomhead strike proved just enough to give Gym a slender 1-0 A game victory but in the B game Rangers came out comfortable 4-0 winners, Jamie Jackson claiming two of their goals. Also on target were Ryan Taylor and Craig James.
Warton Typhoons took four points off fellow strugglers Layton Juniors in two very hard fought and close encounters. The A game ended in a goalless stalemate then in the B game a strike by Yiannis Leronymakis proved enough to clinch a 1-0 victory for Warton.
